Chris joined Porter Law Firm in November 2022 and will lead our new Homeowner Association Law Division. Chris is one of only 51 attorneys in Texas that is Board Certified in Property Owner Association Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has been an active leader in the homeowner association industry, currently serving as Past-President of the Greater Houston Chapter of the Community Association’s Institute, and Chair of the Texas Legislative Action Committee, the organization’s legislative advocacy group.
He is a frequent speaker for the State Bar of Texas’ Advance Property Owner Association Law section and a Member of the Texas Bar College. Chris was previously a Shareholder at Daughtry & Farine, P.C., and brings more than a decade of experience as a property owner association and trial attorney. He has been named a Top Attorney of Texas, Rising Star, by Texas Monthly since 2016 and one of Houston’s Top Lawyers by H Texas Magazine since 2018.
