David Augustus

David Augustus is a commercial litigator at Porter Law Firm. With a broad range of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, David has demonstrated versatility in various commercial matters. He has served as lead counsel in numerous trials and arbitrations and frequently mediates disputes, showcasing his expertise in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. His current focus includes a wide variety of civil litigation areas, such as general commercial disputes, breach of contract, DTPA and consumer issues, fraud, construction litigation, premises liability, business ownership disputes, securities, and franchise relationships.

David holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center, where he graduated cum laude. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, where he met his wife. They are the proud parents of three exceptional daughters and one almost-as-exceptional dog.
